Looks like an interesting book.

I began studying labels about 4 weeks ago. I experienced incredible guilt (and horror) on what I have been feeding my family. However, I learned I have to do the changes slowly, as my family was promising a full fledged revolt!
I would like to buy and eat more organic food, but the price is often a deterrent for me. I agree with Andrea, I feel guilty about all of this, but sadly not enough to make the big changes, at least not yet.
This sounds like an interesting and eye-opening book. Lately I've been buying the bulk of our meat, dairy and eggs from small local producers. It's amazing how different it tastes!
I love this book, and would love to have a copy! I am trying to cut all processed sugar out of my diet right now. We'll see how it goes!
Happily my twins already eat as healthfully as is humanly possible. Local and/or organic produce, often bought directly at the farm, eggs from chickens they have met personally, etc.
As for me, though, when the little ones aren't looking, I eat all sorts of yummy things. Some of which I'd give them if they were older, and some which I wouldn't let them have. I should work on cutting out the latter.
I am trying to eat more and more from scratch and organic. Sadly, cost is a deterrent. Not because I hesitate to spend the extra money but because the extra money simply isn't there.
I am trying to eat fewer processed foods. As long as I can find the time to be organized it's not too difficult!
I am not in the US, could I still enter the giveaway?
Hmm, one way... Having already cut out gluten, casein, corn, pork & soy from my diet... oh, I want to eat more greens (organic) I'm pretty much a romaine & spinach girl right now so diversifying would be nice.
St Elsewhere -- I'll check with Stonyfield.
Sorry, St Elsewhere. US/Canada only :-(
I need to eat less sugar.
We try to keep our processed snacks to a minimum, and buy produce in season and locally if possible. I'd be interested to read the book...
My oldest (3 years) has tons of food allergies. It's absolutely terrifying for me when we eat outside of our home. I know how important this can be and read everything I can get my hands on about how she came to get food allergies and how I can protect her. Thank you for championing this cause!
I am trying to weed all processed foods and chemicals from our diets. Somedays are easier than others, but we're making progress. I just discovered Robin this week and would love her book.
If you've never heard of Dee McCaffrey go to http://www.processedfreeamerica.org/. I got her book 2 years ago in AZ and have been sharing it.
